PG&E Unveils Oregon Pipeline Proposal
PG&E has announced a joint venture with Williams Northwest Pipeline Corp. and Fort Chicago Energy Partners LP to construct a 250-mile pipeline linking the proposed Jordan Cove LNG facility with markets in the Pacific Northwest, including California and Northern Nevada. “It is really a supply and demand [situation], and this project will provide another source for consumers,” said Michele Swaner, a spokesperson for Williams. Environmental assessments are slated to begin next month. Pending regulatory approval, the consortium plans to file with FERC by January 2007.
