Lambert Says Weaver’s Cove Should Undergo New Process

Mayor Edward M. Lambert, Jr. says Hess LNG’s decision to use smaller vessels is a significant change that requires a new state approval process. “This vastly different and even more inappropriate plan should require the company to file a notice of project change with the state’s Executive Office of Environmental Affairs,” Lambert said in a letter to Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey. Lambert asked Healey to speak with Executive Office of Environmental Affairs Secretary Stephen Pritchard about “requiring this project to file a notice of project change.” Lambert wants to “fully analyze this new plan, as the old plan, while foolhardy to begin with, has now become even worse.” Read more in today’s Herald News.
