FERC Schedules Meeting to Tackle Gas Quality Issues at Cove Point
As a result of allegations made by Washington Gas Light regarding leaks on its distribution system, FERC has scheduled a “Procedural Conference” for Feb. 22 to discuss issues concerning gas quality in relation to the transport of natural gas from the Cove Point terminal. The agency said the meeting was planned so “that the parties and the commission staff can discuss the pleadings filed by WGL, Dominion and the import shippers and the procedural options for continued timely processing of Cove Point’s requests for expansion and modification of its LNG import terminal.” Today’s Platts Gas Daily has the story.
