Cheniere President: NYMEX Henry Hub Will Become Global Benchmark

The NYMEX Henry Hub gas price will become a global price indicator for LNG, according to Cheniere LNG President Keith Meyer. At yesterday’s UBS 2006 Natural Gas and Electric Utilities conference in New York, Meyer said that international buyers are increasingly comfortable “with the liquidity and the oversight” of NYMEX pricing, as opposed to LNG prices tied to crude oil markets.
