Peru LNG yesterday issued a press release announcing that they had dedicated an LNG terminal construction site and inked the Investment Agreement between Peru LNG and the Government of Peru. Peru LNG is a partnership involving U.S.-based Hunt Oil Company, SK Corporation and Repsol YPF. “This project represents for Peru and approximate investment of U.S. $2.5 billion and additional revenues for the government of over U.S. $200 million per year in royalties and taxes,” Peru’s president said. LNG from the liquefaction facility likely will be exported to Mexico or the U.S. West Coast.
