In a December 20 letter posted yesterday on FERC’s website, the Navy raised “serious concerns” with Sound Energy Solution’s DEIS/EIR for the proposed Long Beach LNG Project. Concluding that the Navy’s “facilities are critical to maintaining our national defense mission,” and “the project does not adequately evaluate and provide mitigation for potential significant impacts,” the Navy recommended a meeting with FERC, Port of Long Beach, Coast Guard and “other appropriate representatives” to further discuss its concerns.
