Opponents of Calpine’s proposed Skipanon LNG terminal plan to contest the Warrenton City Commission’s approval of two ordinances necessary for a zoning change that would accommodate the terminal. In light of the economical, environmental and safety concerns raised by the proposal, “we are extremely confident that LUBA [Land Use Board of Appeals] or the courts will see the problems with the city of Warrenton’s decision and will overturn it,” Doten said in a letter presented to the Commission last week.
