The Executive Director of the Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council today said in a letter addressed to FERC that the U.S. Undersecretary of Commerce dismissed the Consistency Appeal of Weaver’s Cove. The CRMC also reaffirmed its position that it cannot assess the coastal effects of the proposal because Weaver’s Cove failed to submit a “realistic dredge disposal plan,” thus making the Weaver’s Cove application incomplete.
