Officials Attempt to Thwart Gas Pipeline Project in Mass.
Boston officials want assurances that a proposed natural gas pipeline in Middlesex and Essex Counties will not encourage an increase in LNG traffic in the city’s harbor. “FERC should not license the proposed project until the relationship between the expansion of pipeline security and the LNG ship traffic to the Everett LNG facility is clearly understood,” the city said in a letter addressed to the commission.
