An energy economist provided information on LNG at a forum Wednesday night in Astoria, Ore., noting that she is not expressing a stance on whether an import terminal should be constructed in the lower Columbia area. Michelle Foss also brushed aside criticism that she was “not the unbiased speaker” the Astoria-Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce advertised her as because of her affiliation with the Center for Energy Economics at the University of Texas at Austin, which she said receives just 10 to 20 percent of the center’s financial support from energy giants.
