U.S. Rep. Allyson Y. Schwartz (D-Philadelphia) is spearheading a bill that requires the U.S. Coast Guard to perform a vulnerability assessment of “all elements” of Philadelphia Gas Works’ proposed Freedom Energy Center LNG terminal. The PGW proposal would be located on the Delaware River; the bill also contains oil spill provisions stemming from last year’s Athos I oil spill. The article is in yesterday’s News Gleaner.
