Letter to FERC Requests that Connecticut Have Greater Input on Broadwater LNG
The Conn. Dept. of Environmental Protection has asked FERC to require Broadwater LNG to submit a coastal zone consistency certification. Even though the proposed facility is not located in Connecticut waters, the Conn. Dept. of Environmental Protection suggests that FERC’s approval is an agency action that must “comply to the maximum extent practicable” with the affected state’s coastal policies. The letter may be found in the FERC e-Library under PF-05-4.
