TransCanada Calls Alaska LNG Project No Longer Commercially Reasonable

KTUU reports that TransCanada representative Vincent Lee told Alaska state legislators last week that his company supports Alaska’s buyout of TransCanada’s share of the Alaska LNG Project because the project “is no longer commercially reasonable” as currently structured.  The legislature has been meeting to discuss the state’s possible buyout of TransCanada in the Alaska LNG Project, which comprises an 800-mile pipeline to access North Slope gas supplies and a liquefaction and LNG export terminal.
